Five Australian Bridging Visas

The Department of Home Affairs notes that “Bridging visas let you stay in Australia lawfully while your immigration status is resolved. The type of bridging visa we might grant you depends on your circumstances.”

There are five types of Bridging visas — A, B, C, D, and E — so there are various important reasons why temporary Bridging visas may greatly help you.

First, all five Bridging visas allow you to lawfully remain in Australia. Thus, they let you to stay with your family or friends in this country and in some circumstances allow you to continue working at your current employment. Being able to stay in Australia while awaiting your visa decision also allows you to appear in person at any Administrative Appeals Tribunal hearing and to visit in person your migration agent or lawyer. Of course, it can be very cost saving to not have to travel overseas while waiting for your Australian visa circumstances to be resolved.

Four Bridging visas are free. To learn about any costs and other conditions re the Bridging visas, read the short notes below and the individual pages for each visa via the provided links. For more information, you may also consult with a Migration Ways registered migration agent.
